Calculation Model of Vertical Bearing Capacity of Rock-Embedded Piles Based on the Softening of Pile Side Friction Resistance

Rock-socketed pile is widely used in coastal wharf, Marine bridge, and power engineering, the end bearing function considered more design process. However, lateral friction resistance of rock-socketed piles an important part, load transfer mechanism pile–soft rock interface research focus. In this paper, a comparative analysis was adopted test, ten groups test specimens were made, including five natural saturated mudstone specimens, respectively. The characteristics interfacial analyzed through shear pile–mudstone interface. A calculation model for vertical capacity based on softening established, effects relative displacement, positive pressure, length, stiffness analyzed. results show that strength pile–rock lower than interface, shows “first increasing, then decreasing, finally flattening with increase displacement”. ultimate residual under saturation 89.49% 89.73% state, With side proportion increased by 39.96%, fully exerted. foundation increased, change value from 6.80% to 16.97%. had little effect capacity. can provide certain reference soft areas.
